    Hi,
We’ve recently got a bunch of S10 terminals and I’m trying to configure them via FTP. I have a C:Inetpubftprootwnoswnos.ini file but the terminals do not seem to be finding it. I get the following:

    Contacting file server……
    Cannot access system profile.
    Checking software ftp:/wnos/RCA_wnos…..
    BIOS: File not found

I have configured DHCP options 186 and 187 and I know that’s working as the terminals have the correct File Servers/Path setting.

I can browse to the ftp share and access the wnos.ini anonymously.

    Does anybody have any suggestions?

    Hi Helen,

The 2 tags you have set up are for the Rapport server IP and Port. You will need to set up the 161 and 162 tags for FTP based management of the S10. Here is a doc on this:

    http://www.freewysemonkeys.com/site/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=20&ttitle=DHCP__FTP_blazer.pdf

To see the results go to the system settings-network-servers tab and you can check the the correct information of the ftp server has been deployed.

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers,
    -TT
