    Hi there,

We are having audio issues with our current Wyse 3040 devices (ThinOS 8.6), using teams on Citrix 7.15 XenApp LTSR).  I see in the release notes that there is a newer Citrix workspace on the new firmware and that it is only supported on Wyse management server 3.x.

Does that mean that we cannot use ThinOS 9.x until we upgrade to Wyse management server 3.x ?

We also have some old Thin linux devices (Dx50d) and we control will be controlling these on Wyse management server 1.4 via ftp – wlx.ini files. If we upgraded to Wyse management server 3.x would they still be able to get their .ini files from upgraded server (i dont mind if they are not showing up in the console) ?

    Thanks,

    M

To manage ThinOS 9 you will need WMS 3.x.
ftp can still be enabled on the integrated Tomcat server.

Do you know if I was just to upgrade the current WMS 1.4 to the latest version – would all my current devices still work properly (ie Wyse 3040 (8.6 FW) and the Linux ones 5060 and d50D?

Do you know if it is possible to clone a Wyse management server and then upgrade it for a test.. would there be an issue with the certificate?

    Thanks

Normally, Dell does not remove any support for devices that were working once.
However, they are also not testing with any EOLed devices. So there is no guarantee that it will work.
For sure, you can clone the server, shut down the original one, upgrade the clone and test with it.
