    Hello,

we got about 300 D10D running os 8.0_210 and we needs to upgrade them to 8.5* in order to inventory them through our local WMS.

    I know that I can’t update from 8.0_210 to 8.5 without installing 8.0_512 first (as written in how-to-upgrade-thinos-correctly ).
    So here’s the tries I’ve made :

    – Installing through dell cloud WMS 8.0_512 : OK
    – Loging with the wyse to citrix : OK
    – Installing through dell cloud WMS 8.5_17 : OK
    – Login to citrix : exec ica not found.

So I’ve downgraded to 8.0_210 and I can log again.
I tried with 8.5_20:  same error.

Someone at Dell give us a tip to install 8.5* with http server and url rewriting.
If the wyse is on 8.0_210 install 8.0_512
If the wyse is on 8.0_512 install 8.5
If the wyse is on 8.5 : get the wnos.ini

Everything works well, the wyse get the first then the second upgrade et finally get the good configuration. But again the following “exec ICA not found”.

    Anyone got an idea ?

    Regards,
    Nicolas.

Could you go to the “System Tools – Packages” tab and delete all packages.
Then reboot. Package/s should reinstall automatically.
Try again now to log in to Citrix.

I know this is a old post and maybe it will help someone again, I had this issue as well recently and what i found to be the fix if I wasnt able to put my hands on the device itself. was to do as follow

    1. Upgrade to 8.1

    2. Then upgrade to what ever version you want.

Once I did this that ICA error went away.
