Hi guys,
I am working on a project to migrate users in a contact centre from physical, desktop phones to a softphone application.
Are you able to advise which type of headset would be more optimal in this use case: USB or audio jack headset? Which solution is more commonly used with Citrix and Wyse clients?
I am asking as I am not sure about all possible implications of using eighter type of headset.
I suppose USB based headset would allow being independent of the build-in D/A converter (better quality?) in Wyse clients but from what see, USB headsets are generally more common at the moment, is that correct?
Thank you,
Hi,
I’ve had some cases where the Wyse would not switch the default microphone to USB. It was possible to do it manually though, but a that’s a burden to explain users how to do that
USB device control buttons (Mute +/-) may not be taken into account in the session (We’re on RDP)
Jack is the safe way. If you want to go for USB, test it before.
Juste in case, Sennheiser SC75 can do both…
