    I installed a few brand new Wyse 5070’s (Pentium) at a customers site and noticed that RDP session freezes after ‘x’ time. Sometimes 1 hour, 2 hours or only once a day. I then upgraded from 8.5_108 to the latest 8.5_113 firmware which stopped the RDP sessions from freezing, but now the session has lots and lots of artifacts on screen (even with the lowest graphics settings on the thin client).

    All clients connect through gateway to a Server 2016 remote host (2ms ping average, 0 packet drop, over 150mbps fiber).

    I am kind of lost here because network seems fine and there is more than enough bandwidth available. Other machines at the customer site don’t have any problems with their RDP sessions.

    tldr; RDP sessions run perfectly on 8.5_108, besides the random crashes. RDP sessions on 8.5_113 don’t crash but have a lot of artifacts, which is almost not workable.

    I’m using the following wnos config:

    Open a support ticket.

    We also have artefacts with ICA and 5070

    I’m going to call Dell support this afternoon since I am at the customer’s site tomorrow again. Did you already get a response from Dell? FYI; you can maybe rollback to 8.5_108 since artifacts do not happen with that version, you might, however, face similar problems as I am regarding random session freezes.

    Ok, so Dell was of zero help by answering that our thinclients only have basic hardware support. They can only help me if I upgrade the machine to ProSupport…

    @suisse
    any luck on your side? Or anyone else?

    I hope this issue is resolved in ThinOS 8.6.

    Looks like this issue is resolved in upcoming 8.6_013 expected until end of this year.
