    Hello Everyone

    Happy new year!

I have a number of Wyse 3040 devices running WTOS 8.5_012, each thin client has a Brother HL-l2300d printer attached. Printers are “mapped” using the “Map Printers” option in WMS.

Users login to a RDS 2016 collection via single broker. Occasionally, we have an issue where print jobs come out as blank pages. When this happens, it will continue to happen until the 3040 is rebooted.

We also have a number of PC’s running the same driver/printer that do not have this issue.

Interestingly, we also have a network variant of this printer. When connecting to the IP printer using the LPD option in WTOS and letting that printer map to Windows, it works fine. The issue only occurs with USB connected machines.

We could replace all 20 odd USB printers with network versions, however trying to avoid the cost. The USB mapping also resolves the issue of location aware printing (i.e the user only gets the printer connected to the device they are using)

Any thoughts on what the problem could be?

    Thanks

ThinOS 8.6 is released. Have you tried that version already?

Unfortunately only 8.5.020 is showing up in my DigitalLocker. Perhaps Dell haven’t posted it yet. Ill try 020 as well.

New firmware is posted on the official Support page. Digital Locker is no longer used.

    Hi Everyone

I’m now running 8.6_013 and unfortunately it didn’t fix my problem. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
