Hello everyone,
Until now I have distributed the configuration of my Wyse C30, T10, 3020 and 3040 devices via FTP alone – using the wnos.ini (Configuration Generator) and everything has worked so far. Fire and forget :-D.
I didn’t need any management software and didn’t want any. The new firmware 9 “forced” to use a the WDS software for configuration.
My question: Is it possible to install the WDS 3.1.1 without disturbing the existing structure in order to test it? Then i will configurate the DHCP Tags.
To be 100% sure add CCMEnable=No
to your wnos.ini.
This way no client will try to connect to your WMS server (CCM was the old name of WMS).

Thanks for the tip.
I will set this.
When i will test the WDS on one client:
can i set the command for this client to CCMEnable=YES in the INC/mac.ini?
So it should only work for this client, right? Then i can test it…
First if all, the management software is called Wyse Management Suite, WMS – not WDS.
Second, yes, mac.INI would work.
