Hello,
I plan on spinning up a new WMS 3.1 server standard and migrate from my old ini config files. Once I have everything dialed in, I would like to move this installation to a new server in a few months. I don’t see a simple export/import config for WMS. Am I missing something?
Thank you,
Dave
Import/Export of policies is only available in the Pro version of WMS.

Let’s say I build a test server and register my thin clients with that WMS instance. Later, when I build a new WMS server, when I change the DHCP options to the new server, will the thins automatically come over to the new server, or do they have to be unregistered first?
Thanks,
Dave
No. DHCP or DNS options will only be used once by the clients for the first registration. After that, it will only get used again when the client was reset to factory defaults.
To move the client from one server to another you can either use INI parameters or (if it is a ThinOS 9 unit) a WMS policy to push the new WMS server URL and grouptoken.
