    Hello,

    I have WMS 1.3 onPremise.

Currently we have some 3040 deployed, and it seems some of them can’t reach my WMS server.

It’s correctly set up (DHCP and DNS record created, CA Validation on false,etc..), 98% of the other ThinOs (3040/5070) can register without any problems but those two won’t.

I have to admit i’m running out of ideas !

First of all, do not use DNS and DHCP at the same time.
    I would recommend DNS.
    Now to your issue.
Do you see anything on the local, non-checking-in devices? Eventlog? WDA settings?
    All clients same firmware?
Have you tried a factory reset of the affected clients?

I’m having the same issue but with 5060/5070 win 10 IOT.  The only time they register is when you do a manual reboot. It would be a headache to manual reboot over 1000 machines…

Make sure you have updated the Boot Agent AND the WMS Agent on the client to the latest and greatest.

We had this problem with 1 device, the problem was that this device was returned to Dell and a new came back with the same Serial/Tag no. and since this Serial no. was found in the WMS MongoDB it couldnt register the new device (device was deleted in the web interface) but was still in the database.

    Hi,

MHP is right… after “unregistering” the device, it is still in the database… in order to delete it there you have to manually select the “event” (you will still see a “link” towards the device there) and once you reached the devices’ individual page, you can choose to delete it from the dropdown list…

WMS will ask you for a justification and afterwards the “same” device (same tag, new MAC) can register..

    Regards

You can also delete devices from the devices tab, just filter on unregistered devices and select the one you want to delete, the option will be in the More Actions dropdown.
