So here is my situation. I installed WMS 1.4 on a the C: partition, which mean my Local Repository is on the C drive. I would like to move the Repository to another drive on the server say the E: drive. What are my options to accomplish this. 1) Should I uninstall WMS and tell it not to delete the repo and reinstall WMS on the E drive and then copy the contents from the old repot to the new on the other drive? If I do this will I loose my policies and will have to start from scratch?

The reason I want to move the Repo to another drive on the same server is to separate it from the OS partition.

    Thanks in advance.

There is no officially supported way to do this.
    You could try this:
    Stop WMS services
    Edit the Mongo DB
Go to Devices (the repository is nothing else but a device)
Change the entry there to reflect the new location
Copy the content of your repository to the new location
    Start WMS services

This will only work if the new location is on the same server as the location is referenced as an SMB value (\\server\share\)

Ok, but what is the worst-case scenario if just reinstall WMS and reinstall WMS. Will the devices that are registered to WMS just will not show up on the console. Will I just have to go to each device, unregister the device and have it check back in to the WMS server?

Devices should check-in to the new server without any issues.
