Tagged: Service Accounts, upgrade, WMS
Hi,
i want to upgrade WMS 3.3.1 to 3.5 (and next 3.5.1) but the installer asks for Service Account Credentials and i don’t know what should be entered?!
All services are running with System or Network Accounts and i don’t have a Domain Service Account yet.
Please help 🙂
Best regards
Stefan
update:
DELL changed the working process from WMS 3.3.x with SYSTEM permissions to WMS 3.5 with an system account. I’ve create an system local account during the installation and everything was fine till the next reboot. The user is not assigned to the system local group “Log on as a Service and Batch” and the services can’t be started. So I added the local account to the local group.
I don’t understand why people do this. It’s a step backwards and makes it harder to work with group policies and hardening.
