Hello, I recently received a batch of Wyse 5070 with Windows IoT on them for testing purposes due to softphone limitations on ThinOS.

My question is how exactly can I go about using either the built in functionalities or the WDA agent to get this device connected and controlled through my WMS server? I see a number of config files on the local device as well as after installing the WDA agent, but I am not sure where I need to begin configuring the WMS server information.

Either you use the local WDA agent applet to configure it. Or you use DHCP or DNS entries to autoconfigure the client.

For your testing purpose, you’ll likely want to start by simply going to WDA process in the systems tray. Looks like a heartbeat logo. Open that up and fill out the WMS piece of it with your WMS server and group and token. Then just register. From there you can use WMS to configure the device.

Alternatively you can modify the properties in Start -> Wyse – EasysetupAdmin etc. That works up until you register it with WMS. After that WMS takes over.
