So something I have been getting complaints from users about, is when they type in the WiFi password, correct or not, it will save it and the user can not change it. Now our policy I have in place does not allow the user to have access to the Network option as we do not want them to mess with any of the settings.

So how can I get the ability to have the users clear out SSID’s or input the correct password on these devices if that option is locked out for them?

We have unlocked the Network Connections portion for our users since the change to allow granular control over certain sections of the System settings and we have yet to see any users mess with any of these settings aside from inputting and fixing their Wifi passwords when they input them incorrectly. For what its worth.

We’ve also noticed that if the user inputs the password incorrectly the very first time after each reboot it will ask you for the Wifi password. Entering the password correctly here will not update the password that was originally entered when connecting to wireless for the first time. Maybe if dell allows that screen to update the stored SSId password then that would fix your issue but i would just allow the network connections screen in the meant time.

I have thought about that, and did a test run and of course, we had a few users go in there and mess with the settings and caused their 5070/5470 not to properly connect.
