When changing wnos.ini files, old connections remain with an asterisk

What can I do to prevent this from happening? Previous woos.ini files do not have local copies enabled, yet when I change a config and reboot, both of the previously manually entered configs appear. Factory reset resolves this, but I would prefer to not have to do that.

The old WNOS is only two automatically created connections, while the new WNOS connects to an anonymous storefront, with one preconfigured RDP connection.

    Any help?

    Thanks as always!

Could you post both wnos.ini files?

Wow…. Think I just found it after typing that out… LocalCopy=yes? Will I have to change that on the old config…reboot, then move device to new config and reboot again?

Tried fiddling with that, no luck.

LocalCopy=yes is the reason the RDP session are stored locally, correct.
And your described steps should work.

Thanks for the help. This issue has somewhat turned into another issue altogether.

We had a config on about 600 devices that was changed about 6 months ago. This old config had manually created ICA connections, and the new config just had a storefront connection set up.

As it stands, these devices are running firmware 8.0, we are in the process of upgrading all of our devices to 8.3. When a particular device gets upgraded to 8.3, these locally stored ica connections are appearing on the users application list. At this point we can’t go back and reload a config with localcopy=no on the old connections, and it seems the only two ways to resolve this are to factory reset (not an option, we cant rename 600 devices after the face), or to go into the UI itself and choose “clear locally saved connections”

Is there a way to have it clear locally saved connections inside the config file?

Let me know if I need to clarify anything, thanks for the help.

    There is no such parameter.
Do you use WDM? If so, think about the following.
You can use my MacGen tool to extract all clients in that tool. Then create a machine based config file for each unit. This config file only needs one line included which sets the machine name.
That way you can reset each unit to factory default whenever you want or need and after that all units will get back their original name.
