Background: Installed WDM 4.7.2 on a w2k3 server and the SQL 2005 on a virtual 2008 server. Its a clean install of both.

When I try to access the preferences or try to setup a new subnet, I get the same error:

[-2147217865] GetNetworkCardSpeeds: Invalid object name ‘NetworkCardSpeed’.

Driver Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Driver

I’ve been staring at this for a while and I figure I’ve missed something simple along the way, but can’t see the forest for the trees.

    Thanks.

Installing WDM on different server require the Enterprise Edition.
If you have this version, then start the setup first on the SQL server, enter the Enterprise license and just select DB install. After that run the setup on the WDM server, enter teh same license again and point the setup routine to the already installed DB.

I am using an Enterprise key for this install.

I have done that several times and still end up with the same error. I can give it another try because I have nothing to lose at this point.

Yeah, I’ve followed those steps repeatedly to try getting this to work.
