Hi,
I have a new server built for the wdm install.
The server was built with just the OS and then the SQL team installed the SQL SERVER 2008R2 on it and create a sql username pwd to use for WDM install.Post this I initiated the WDM install, where in I followed the below steps:
-Select workgroup edition
-IN THE Configure database SCREEN, Option “‘Use Existing Database Server (SQL Server Express or full)” was selected and also selected the “create new rapport user” option
– next step I selected “configure new repository server” option and “create new user” option.
-Post this i proceeded as guided in the install guides.However the install fails in the last step saying the database attach failed.
The log had the error: :” [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Database ‘RapportDB’ cannot be upgraded because it is read-only or has read-only files. Make the database or files writeable, and rerun recovery.”Kindly help!
You do not have an existing database but only an existing SQL server!
Choose this in the install and everything should work.CG

Thanks for your response.
I was doing the same, however i just cleared the access and re-verified the passwords etc.Post this a restart was done and it worked out fine. The install is successful.
Can you advise on how can we activate the Worker Group license activated?
