    WMS 4.1, ThinOS 2306 (9.4.2103), Wyse 5070 (1.25 BIOS)

Am hoping some other folks may have encountered this issue and found a solution. We’ve been working with Dell and Citrix support troubleshooting an issue with poor video and audio quality in Zoom meetings and so far not been able to find a resolution.

With USB redirection turned on in Session settings > Global session settings audio is very poor in the meetings, particularly when the camera is enabled. If we disable redirection, with the Zoom VDI plugin and VDI app, video and audio are good, but the camera isn’t detected by other video conferencing apps (Skype for business, GoToMeeting, Windows camera app tested).  The camera is available in these when redirection is turned on, headset audio works in both configurations.

Anyone out there have a similar configuration working, or have any ideas where I should be poking around to sort this?

    Further environment details-

    Cameras tested, Logitech c920, c320, c925e

    Headset, Polycom EncorePro 525 USB

    VM OS, Windows 10 22h2

    VDA, 2303

Zoom VDI plugin and app 5.15.2

TIA for any suggestions or help offered.

Hi!  Turn of usb redirection for the web cam both in Citrix policies and ThinOS 1) do you have both zoom and – say – skype running simultaneously? If yes, try testing skype separately when zoom isn’t running 2) if having skype only in the vm do you see Citrix hdx web cam in Skype video settings? 3) turn of the skype optimization virtual channel for thinos either locally or via wms 4) can you see the cam video in MS Camera app in the VM having NO zoom and skype?

    Thank you for the suggestions.

Turning off redirection in the Citrix policy, it’s already turned off in WMS, had no effect. Same for running the apps individually, including the camera app, and turning off Skype optimization.

I’m not seeing the Citrix HDX web cam in device manager, running down that thread now with Citrix support.

Made some progress working with Dell support. We were able to get the camera recognized in Skype by installing the HDX_RealTime_Connector_2.9.700_for_Skype_For_Business from Citrix on the VM side. Still not seeing it in GotoMeeting, continuing to work with Dell and Citrix to make sure we have all of the plugins in all the right locations.
