hello,
I’m new to the WYSE/VMWare world and currently testing View with the WYSE V10L for a library internet kiosk stations. Hopefully someone has a deployment similar to what I’m trying to accomplish and can help me out. My wnos.ini is setup now to automatically login to the broker and then Windows XP when v10L is first powered on. This part works fine and the user sees the XP desktop upon first boot up. When the user logs off or is disconnected to from the session I have the WYSE automatically reconnect to the broker. The action works by authenticating to VMware view, but errors at the windows login screen that the password is incorrect. Right now that particular account does not have a password and if I click okay throught the error and click okay at the login screen all works fine. Now I tried doing this with and without a password, however no luck. It’s weird because even with the password set as nothing it looks like there are characters typed in the password field at the login screen.
Thanks, Chris
Here is my ini file for reference.

March 27, 2009 at 12:31 pm #15525Can you try with
Connection Broker=VDM

March 27, 2009 at 10:54 pm #15534No dice with that change. Actually, the thin OS gave an error “no broker tunnel”. Once I changed it back it was connecting again. Except during an auto reconnect.
However, I did rebuilt the the desktop pool within View, but now I will get the Wyse to do an auto login to the broker and stop at the windows login screen. Does anyone know if the autologin for windows is controlled through VMWare View or the Wyse wnos.ini file?

March 28, 2009 at 5:44 pm #15536Check if you have enabled “Allow Direct Connection” inside the View configuration.
And with pools you only get an autologin if you use ConnectionBroker=VDMCG
