VDI envoirementcan i set up a primary and a secondary monitor?
windows see the both monitors like a big one, resolution 3360 x 1050.
winxp starts automaticaly using the view manager, and my task bar is all over both screens , in the wtos i have the task bar is only on the main monitor, can this be done also in the windows xp ?
i have instaled the multi-display from wyse but it`s the same.
thanksJuly 22, 2009 at 1:42 pm #16345You must use the wyse multidisplay software to do this

July 27, 2009 at 8:14 am #16352any help on this, ???/
thanksJuly 29, 2009 at 7:22 am #16367thnaks for the info,
the wyse multi-display is running as a service, but i do not have anything in the register.
my user. ini file for multi-display folder is empty : (.
can you post or PM me whit a user.ini file, so i can have a clear view of what should look like.thanks allot
July 29, 2009 at 12:12 pm #16368You only need to edit your user.ini in “%USERPROFILE%Application DataWyseWyse TCX Multi-display” if you want to change something, like we did. So our user.ini has only 1 line and thats it :
ExitOnSingleHead=yes
If you don’t edit or doesn’t have user.ini TCX will use the default settings.
Also check if you have a process running in your taskmanager called “wysehk.exe” this process is reponsible for handeling your application window (like use 1 screen for a fullscreen window/application and not 2). Please remember if you have 1 screen and your user.ini looks like ours you don’t have this.
info : C:Program FilesWyseTCX Multi-displayMhasrv32.exe is your service but wysehk.exe is your application. So if your registry is empty (for what ever reason there is) you still can just run wysehk.exe
August 5, 2009 at 6:35 am #16413hi,
i have the added the line in the user.ini file, and also the process “wysehk.exe” it`s running.
but still my task bar is on both screen, is ther eany way that i have to configure the multi-display software to make it work?thanks
September 2, 2009 at 12:25 am #16510There is no way to prevent the taskbar from spanning across both screens even with MDS running using RDP, or at least I’ve not found a way of doing this.
The taskbar option on the device itself only controls the taskbar on the device desktop and does not translate into the session itself.
September 2, 2009 at 6:53 am #16511This will be a feature of the next version of TCX coming end of this year.

December 16, 2009 at 5:12 am #17268I’m running the latest beta release of TCX Server suite and it has the ability to select whether or not you want the taskbar to span across both screens.
aLiE – Would you be able to share the script you have created to determine whether a config is single or dual screen? I’m guessing this only determines if the device is a dual head or not and not if you are using the y cable with 2 screens connected?
Really would like to get down to one config company wide if possible!Anyone know how to get 1920×1080 resolution without explicitly specifing it in wnos.ini?
Thanks!
December 16, 2009 at 8:07 am #17269Anyone know how to get 1920×1080 resolution without explicitly specifing it in wnos.ini?
Is this a DDC resolution? Then you can set Resolution=DDC or allow the users to set this resolution via “Privilege=None ShowDisplaySettings=DDC-Only”

December 16, 2009 at 8:56 pm #17280Thanks. Yes I have set resolution=ddc and I recall in your conf gen that it will use 1650×1080 as the default on a 1920×1080 capable screen.
If I allows users to set resolution with “Privilege=None ShowDisplaySettings=DDC-Only” will they be reverted back after a device reboot?
December 17, 2009 at 8:15 am #17283No, they will not be reverted back.

Any word on this? Was this version released? Does it have this feature?
December 2, 2010 at 7:12 am #19497Should be part of TCX Suite 4.
