    Hi.

I am in a process updating our 5010 and 3040 clients to 8.6_19

After the update, some of the 5010 clients has a characters predefined in the Username field, that the users has to delete before logging on.

    Hos anyone else seen this?

Strange, as the config looks good.
    Have you tried to add
    Username=””
    to your wnos.ini?

not sure where you are adding it,

you need to add it under General 3

    DefaultUser=

Make sure there are no characters after the  = sign

    Hi Gazz

    Hmm yes that solved it!

    Thanks a lot.

Only problem now is that I have to remember to add this line manually when using Configuration Generator

Just for I have enhanced ConfGen to support empty DefaultUser names. 😉

Yes – both generating new wnos and importing existing.

    Works fine

I have seen the same issue on several clients after a firmware update.

Factory resetting them got rid of it, but this is a lot easier.

    Thanks.
