    Dear Wyse experts,

We are running Wyse Linux with kernel version 2.6.16.40 on our Wyse thin clients. I tried to use a USB stick with it, but unfortunately automatic mounting fails with the error message:

    sda: unknown partition table

This issue occurs with any USB stick that does not have a partition table, be it formatted with NTFS or FAT32. After creating a partition table on the very same USB stick, it worked without problems. Unfortunately creating a partition table on these (encrypted) USB sticks is not something our users could do, therefore my question:

Is there any possibility to use USB sticks without a partition table? Maybe the Wyse Linux configuration can be changed somehow…

Thanks so much in advance for any help!
