we have downloaded evaluation version of Wyse TCX suite 4.0. we are facing some issue on USB virtualization through RDP server and client.

our Server : Windows server 2003 SP2 — We installed “Wyse TCX Server Suite_eval32_4.0.1.21.msi”
Client: Windows XP SP3 — We installed “Wyse_TCX_Client_Suite.msi”

from Client we took remote desktop session of server 2003 and attached a USB pen drive in client machine. we exported the device as it is shown in help pdf document that comes with download package, But usb device is not shown in the remote session.

    Our scenario:

    1. USB device attached to client machine and taken remote session of server on client.
    2. In client TCX configuration utility we checked the device as “always show in remote session”.
    3. In Server TCX configuration by default no list of device shown (all blank). We added the usb device with VID and PID.
    4. The device is not visible in remote as well as local session of server.
5.When we close server TCX configuration utility, added device information is not saved.

    Our Queries:

1.Is the evaluation version requires some licence or it just work?
    2. why the added device is not saved in server TCX configuration?
3.Why device list is empty by default in server TCX configuration utility?.
    4. Why USB device is not getting redirected into remote desktop session?.

    1. no license needed
2.+3. do you have admin rights? Then all devices should be visible and will stay over restart.
    4. enable TCX debug logging to get more hints
