Upgradepath (WMS Cloud)
8.6.807 > 9.1.6108 > 9.3.3099
All WYSE 5070 clients.
The failed clients upgrade to the 9.1.6108 but do not continue.
Some are succesfull, some fail with following errors (in WMS).
Package x failed to install. (root, horizon, bios, securityaddon).
When I check the device logs, the following error occurs:
2023-01-31 20:07:00.443] N/WDAProc/WMS (1/1) wms: Security_Addon_2211_009.pkg-V2211.009 has been downloaded completely.
[2023-01-31 20:07:00.773] N/WDAProc/WMS (1/1) wms: Failed to install packages. error: [“wms: failed to install SecurityAddon version: 2211.009, error: failed to verify package”]
Factory reset is not really an option since these devices are out of the office, at peoples homes.
I tested with 12 devices, 2 have failed (4 not yet reported). With 400 devices to go the error rate is already too high to rollout to production.
Anyone any ideas?
I don’t have any real fixes for you, but I have experienced the same.
Some work ok, some have to be rebooted multiple times. Some need to deleted from the console and let it enroll itself again.
It was a real pain. I had to go from 8.6.412 > 8.6.807 > 9.1.6108 > 9.3.3099. It was a crap shoot.
