    Hello,

Since i upgraded to thinos-9.1 on my Dell wyse 3040, every boot time of the thin client  is about 1 minute.

Has anyone got shorter boot times ? is there any ways to reduce this time ?

    Regards.

Does ThinOS 9 still deserve the prefix “Thin”  ;-/ …..

I mean, it allegedly can’t run on a D10D and takes ages to be up and ready.

I really wish they had just updated ThinOS 8.6 with a newer Horizon Client + the Zoom Media plugin + Zoom freezing fixes and called it a day.

It was fine otherwise, in my opinion.  (Yeah, you SOMETIMES had those occasional crash dumps where you had to restart it… but those were extremely rare.)

ThinOS 9.1 should not have been released in it’s current state.

Definitely not ready for prime time!

I agree with the above comments: ThinOS 9 is unusable slow on Wyse 3040s.

It may be fine when 3040s are used as dashboards but definitely not as user workstations when user experience is bad.

This is a big disappointment and fail on the Dell-Wyse side and pushes companies to protect their investments made in 3040s clients by using other (competition) OS on them – which surprisingly works fine and it’s more responsive than ThinOS 9.x…

I agree also, Thin OS 9.1 is a Alpha or Beta there are so many problems !
