    Having some issues redirecting (Samsung Mobiles) devices via USB.

    Dell; 3040
    Firmware; 8.6
    Agent; 4.3
    Horizon PKG; 4.8
    VMware View 7.7
    Blast Only Sessions.

    Terminals are configured by WMS and set to redirect ALL USB devices, which are then controlled by GPO on the VDI side by device PID/VID.

    The devices I am having trouble redirecting work on the same desktop for the same user via Windows, so I’m reluctant to look at the VDI or GPO setup and focus on the WMS side.

    I’ve entered the below within the Advanced Config on WMS;

    SessionConfig=ALL mapdisks=no VUSB_DISKS=yes

    My WMS USB Config;

    3040 Devices

    The VID/PID shown above is exclusively listed to be allowed, and works outside of ThinOS. Devices not listed in GPO fail to redirect as designed.

    3040 Event Log

    I’m almost certain it’s a simple fix, and a case of having a =yes instead of =no but I’m drawing a blank.

    Any assistance appreciated.

    Ok, that’s really strange.
    The device is recognized as redirectable device. However, ThinOS does not redirect it.
    Just for testing, could you add
    SessionConfig=PCoIP USBRedirection=PCoIP
    to the Advanced section of your WMS policy?

    Hi CG,

    Testing with PCOIP with the same device seems to be working. Would this point to an issue with BLAST somehow?

    Regards,

    Latest release of 8.6.019 doesn’t seem to resolve the issue for me.

    Still in a situation where the same device, on the same RDS, connecting via BLAST but via Windows redirects the device correctly. Via ThinOS attempts to redirect but fails.

    Hi CG (or anyone else),

    Could you spread some light on exactly what function these settings serve? Documentation is a bit vague;
