Hi,
I am currently doing a test with two T10’s to install roughly 100 thin clients across the US. I’m trying to figure out how to do Timezones for the units.
Is there a way to do if/then login in the ini file? I was hoping to do groups, but I’m seeing that’s an Enterprise only feature. Each location has a server running for DHCP/DNS so technically, I could make 15 different config files and put them in different folders on the FTP host. Then, I could create different DHCP records for each location.
My question: Is there a better, more efficient way to do this?
Thanks!
I would do
– use one DHCP server with option tag 161 to point to one FTP/WWW server
– use one option tag 162 per location (subnet) which points to the folder where the wnos.ini for that specific subnet (location or timezone) is saved
– create 15 wnos.ini files and save them in the appropriate folder.
Done.
CG
This is exactly what I figured was the best way, but I just wanted to see if there was a better way then what I had in mind.
Thank you!
