Hi,
We have T10 thin clients with firmware Ver 8.0_512.
Recently we have been getting a pop up message that reads out :“Notice!
Session Connecting has timed out”If you click “OK” on the pop up, it resets and asks to login again.
If you just leave it, the session launches.Below is my wnos.ini file.
Please help with any known resolution or troubleshooting of this errror.Thanks!

October 5, 2016 at 12:24 am #43313Add this:
SessionConfig=ICA Timeout=noCG
October 5, 2016 at 5:55 pm #43317As u can notice we have multiple groups for users.
Is this entry to be made on the primary wnos.ini or the ini of the group that is being accessed?Also the details i have pasted are from the wnos.ini which has
SessionConfig=ALL MapDisks=yesDo you mean i need to change this to
SessionConfig=ICA Timeout=no MapDisks=yesPlease advise thanks.
October 6, 2016 at 11:09 am #43318Just add the Timeout=no parameter to you existing SessionConfig=All line or add a second SessionConfig=all line, doesn’t matter.

October 7, 2016 at 11:39 am #43330Thanks.
Is it possible to add this Timeout=no parameter in the mac ini file for just one thin client?
I want to check this option for one thin client before making changes to central wnos.in file as i am not sure of the behavior of this parameter in our environment.
Please advise, if adding this parameter in the macaddress.ini file work.
Thanks.
October 8, 2016 at 7:58 am #43339If you use a mac.ini file you can do that.
But copy the whole pnliteserver line including all sub-parameters like the Timeout in it.CG

September 27, 2017 at 12:39 pm #45274Could you please let me know where we need to add “SessionConfig=ICA Timeout=no” line ?
September 28, 2017 at 12:00 pm #45283It doesn’t matter.
Anywhere in a separate line. Maybe the ICA section would be a logical area 😉CG
July 5, 2019 at 8:04 am #50205We tried to add Timeout=no to the ini file for Wyse 3040 and 5010 / Thin OS 8.5.020 that gave me “Session Connecting has timed out” error.
I used this configuration for VMware PCoIP configuration. Which is like the below lines:
SessionConfig=PCoIP Timeout=no USBRedirection=PCoIP
This situation we see only when the VDI is in PoweredOff State and try to launch it. While it tried to establish the connection it pops up with “Session Connecting has timed out” error message.
If I click “OK” on the pop up, it resets and asks to login again.
If I just leave it, the session launches with the pop up still on the screen. However, if we click “OK” on that pop up, the session is disconnected and brings back to login screen.Is there anything we can set to overcome for PCoIP session timeout error. Further to this, we see the pop up comes after 30 sec of session being initiated. This is applicable for single desktop users, where the PCoIP session is initiated automatically after authentication. OR for multiple VDI desktop access users with “Auto-connect on start-up” is selected.
September 30, 2019 at 3:22 pm #50848We have the same issue, at irregular moments. All on thin clients.
Since we use Dell Wyse Management Server, and no .ini files, I added the rule to the Advanced section. Allas, no avail. Any help here?
July 17, 2020 at 10:01 am #52639Hello,
we have the exactly same problem.
Infra:
Latest WMS
Horizon 7.12 Connection and Composer server
Thin Clients with latest Horizon package
Golden image with latest Agent
Using Blast protocol for connections
_____________________________________________________
We were testing in lab infrastructure behaviour where VM will be powered off and after user signs in VM starts and user was succesfully conected. In previous releases (Exacly 7.6) we were experiencing VM not ready timeout. But after installing version 7.11, problem in lab disappear. So we did expecti the same behaviour in production envirenment. Surprise surprise, there is a new notification “Session connecting has time out”.
Any luck solving your problem?
