I have a T10 on 7.1_122 using WDM 4.9.1 and everything is working fine except when the thin client is rebooted, it looses most of the settings. I have read that EnableCacheIni is going away and to use MirrorFileServer instead. I have tried both individually and both together as below:

I can see in the system information event log it says it is cacheing the ini’s:
    INI: flash0:/wnos.ini cached
    INI: flash0:/user.richarddavenport cached

Is there something I can do for this model? Does anyone have any recommendations on a different model that would work with my ini’s?

    I did read this: http://www.freewysemonkeys.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=7563
    but that does not help.

So, although it says “wnos.ini cached”, there is nothing cached actually?

I spoke with Wyse and they said that this is a bug in 7.1_122 and should be fixed in the upcoming hotfix. Until then, a simple g-key reset will download the ini again. I’m hoping this is fixed soon.

    Hi,

I tried the FW 7.1_130, EnableCacheIni works (not Mirrorfileserver), but only the wnos.ini conf is saved, not the mac.ini

    With a C10, wnos + mac.ini are saved

Is it normal that the mac.ini is not saved with the T10 ?

    Yes, this is normal.
MirrorFileServer is not supported on T10 due to flash size. Therefore Wyse reintrduced the EnableCacheIni parameter to save at least most of the data.
