Hi,
I am trying to setup PCOIP in my environment. I am using a P25 terminal.
My setup is as follows:VMWare View 4.6
No Security Servers
Windows XP SP3 as the VMWare View Client.I am able to initiate a connection to a PCOIP pool. The screen then goes blank and show the following message:
“Source signal on other port”
I have tested a laptop with the VMWare View agent installed in the same VLAN as the terminal and I am able to connect to the client with PCOIP.
I dont believe that this is a firewall issue as I can get the laptop to work.
I’ve read the following section in VMWare documentation but it doesnt seem to apply to me:When using the client with a single monitor (or with a single PCoIP integrated monitor), it is possible for the video signal to be sent to the video output with no monitor. When this happens, the easiest solution is to reverse the connectors connecting the graphics card to the PCoIP host card or to connect the monitor to the other DVI output on the client (if you are using a client connected to a separate monitor). Another alternative is to remap (swap) the monitors in the host operating system.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks,
February 21, 2013 at 9:08 am #23537This is a known issue. You will need two things to get this fixed
– firmware 4.0.3 on the P25
– View 5.1CG
February 22, 2013 at 10:12 am #23541Hi,
thanks for your reply. I’ve since upgraded the firmware to 4.0.3.
I now get a black screen when connecting to the VM. A laptop with the VMWare View Client works with PCOIP.Are you saying that PCOIP will only work on the P25 with View 5.1 and not for 4.6?
Thanks,
Ben
February 25, 2013 at 1:56 pm #23548You can do a simple test
Connect to your session from a PC and change the screen resolution to the exact same resolution of the P25.
Log off and log in from the P25.
Works?CG
February 25, 2013 at 2:27 pm #23550Hi,
Yes, thanks that works. So, how in practice do I setup the resolution on the VDI and Terminal. Surely I dont have to set the resolution on the VDI?
Thanks,
Ben
February 26, 2013 at 10:42 am #23553I’ve got the screen resolution corrected now.
