Anyone else experiencing the same issue? Using a 5470 mobile at home on ThinOS 9.1.6108, latest BIOS, Citrix 21.12…3 the version released for .6108 and Zoom for VDI plug-in 5.8.4.21112 connecting to Zoom for VDI client 5.8.4.21112. Everything in Zoom shows detected and connected for VDI and proper UC optimization. Starting a meeting the audio is fine and offloading and video starts fine but about 10 seconds in the video gets really slow and moving the mouse around is extremely delayed.

The experience is only for the user, audio and video look fine to the person on the other end. Local resource utilization on the thin client fluctuated between 50-60% which is about normal. The VM CPU utilization was 20-30% as it should be with UC optimization.

Im going to do some more troubleshooting and roll back the firmware and Citrix and try a few things. Just checking if others have experienced the same.

I should add this is a 5470 using USB camera’s. I’ll check the integrated webcam as well. 5470’s are running a Celeron chipset and not the Pentiums we have for 5070’s. This may just be a 5470 issue. Will keep updating as I troubleshoot.

    Tested the following scenarios:

    • 5470 mobile undocked but on power plug, integrated camera has no issue.
    • 5470 mobile undocked but on power with Logitech C920 USB webcam and no issue
    • 5470 mobile docked on WD19 via USB-C using integrated webcam and video slows down
    • 5470 mobile docked on WD19 via USB-C using Logitech C920 plugged into dock and video slows down

I’m starting to wonder if I have the correct  power brick for the WD19 dock in use and if not enough power is getting to the 5470 through the USB-C because of an underpowered power pack. Will check the specifics for the WD19 power I may be using the wrong power brick since I have lots going on in my basement office since the pandemic started.

    more to come…

On my side with thinOS 9.1.6108 Zoom does not work in VDI mode anymore. I have tested different versions of the Zoom and CWA plugin and it doesn’t change anything. I did a roolback on 9.1.4234 and everything works again. I am waiting for a feedback from Dell.

    Hello,

On Citrix server with VDI version 5.10 and the Wyse Thin OS with Zoom HDX plugin 5.8.4 some users are experiencing a crash of the Citrix session…

I can’t see any version on ThinOS 9.x for a Zoom plugin higher than 5.8.4 although these releases exist for months now.

Does anyone know why and how/when you could get a version 5.10+ in WMS online for the Zoom Citrix plugins?

    Thanks.
