    Hi there

I am testing a Cannon Scanner using a new C-Class Embedded Winterm

Working great apart from when scanning more than 12 pages at once.

An error comes up that system has ran out of virtual memory and needs to reboot.

I have increased the Ram Disk to its maximum (100mb) but this hasnt helped.

I think the problem is due to the fact that every time you scan it saves the scanned image into a temporary file and there isnt enough space on the Ram disk.

Apparently there is a way to increase more space for temporary files

    Anyone have any ideads

    Thanks

    Richard

You can try to enhance the RAMdisk further via the registry.
Do a quick search in the registry for “ramdisk”.
Don’t forget the WF and reboot after teh change.

If the unit is asking for a reboot due to low memory it may be the write filter is getting filled up. If the above suggestions do not work try increasing the amount of RAM the write filter uses.
