All,
I have tried searching the net and this site to find out if the following is posible:
Re-flash a s30 and turn it into a headless server (unbutu/debian etc)
If so are there any guides?
Thanks in advance
Could I use netbootin and install linux via a USB stick to the internal flash?
Hi,
never did that but as the S30 is a simple AMD Geode based board it shouldn’t be a big issue.

I will have a go and report back with the results.
The aim is to turn a s30 into a low powered rtorrent and ushare box 🙂
cool, tell us your results. 😀
Fell over at the first hurdel, my USB pen drive isnt bootable.
I shall invest in one and retest 😆
I have purchased a new USB pendrive and I am able to get puppy linux to load 🙂
I have tried to copy the system to the internal and flash and although the system files are there the box will not boot from it.
Any ideas?
Hold down del key when the WYSE splash screen comes up and change the boot order. The password to the BIOS is Fireport.
