    Hi All

    I’m pretty new to ThinOS/WDM, but I’ve installed WDM 4.7 (Workgroup) and set up our DHCP scope option 186 to specify the IP of the WDM/FTP server. Our brand new S10s are successfully downloading and applying a ThinOS firmware upgrade (6.3.0_22) via FTP and are also downloading the wnos.ini via ftp, which sets up an automatic RDP to our TS farm. Great!

    BUT! The downloaded config doesn’t save, so everything works fine at the moment, but if the S10s were powered off and then were unable to contact a WDM server upon startup for any reason, the config would revert to default, and my S10s wouldn’t automatically connect to TS.

    So I suppose my question is, is this the default behaviour of ThinOS with WDM? Is there a way to download the config and then save it in case there’s a problem with WDM/FTP when the S10 next restarts? Or does WDM have to be available whenever the S10 restarts

    Thanks for taking the time to read this post, guys. Any help is much appreciated!

    This is the default behaviour.
    But you can add a parameter to the wnos.ini
    EnableLocal=yes
    Also you can add LocalCopy=yes to the RDP connection part in the wnos.ini.
    This should help.
