    Hi,

I am trying to get a AOPEN USB cdrom working with a S10 winterm over RDP.

I have the s10 working with a USB pen drive, a USB multi card reader, and even a blackberry curve. But no go on usb cdrom drive.

I have enabled support for USB and DISKS under system properties and also during the RDP connection settings.

    s10 firmware – 6.1.0.7
    RDP 5.1? (windows XP sp2)

    event log says..

36: TCX USB: Start watch device on port 3
37: USB: Found a new device “Mass Storage” on port 3

    Hi,

Un-tick ‘Disks” and try again. You can also use the line “SessionConfig=all MapDisks=no” in the wnos.ini.

Check the S10 event log and you should see that the drive is being re-directed. Check the event log on the S10 to make sure there are no license errors for the TCX USB license,

    Cheers,

    Thanks for the reply,

Removing “Disks” made no difference other than stopping USB pen drives from working.

I assume fat32 is the only storage file system thats supported?

I am wondering if CDFS is not support on the s10. RDP does map it correctly from pc to pc. So the drive does work fine.

There is no mention of any licensing issues in event log, just the following entries.

    Hi,

I may have misunderstood your post. If you are just using RDP only FAT and FAT32 is supported on Mass Storage, so that means no USB floppy or CD/DVD readers.

If you have purchased the Wyse TCX USB re-direction software for Windows XP (VDI) you can use all these USB devices and many more. You install some software in the VM and add an licence key in the wnos.ini and you are away. Wyse will provide an eval key if you want to test this and the software for the VM is here:

    http://www.wyse.com/serviceandsupport/support/dlOraFW.asp?which=91&model=Wyse%20TCX(Software%20Downloads)

    Cheers,
