    Good Morning,

    I can’t seem to get my S10’s to load balance correctly on my Citrix 4.5 servers. We only have 2 servers but as the terminals are configured now, they only go to one of the servers. I’ve used ConfGen’s load balancing configuration file as a template to create my own and I’m happy with it as it stands besides the lack of load balancing.

    Anyone got any ideas to what the issue could be? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Firmware version 6.5.023

    Config file:

    signon=1 disableguest=yes
    resolution=1024x768
    vncprompt=0
    Desktop=logo.gif
    DeskColor="0 78 152"
    ScreenSaver=2
    image=logo.gif
    Seamless=no
    EnableLocal=yes
    EnableCacheIni=yes
    PNLiteServer=citrix.blahblahblah.com
    #LastUserName=yes
    DomainList=13_MILE
    DisableDomain=yes
    #SaveLastDomainUser=yes
    #PasswordServer=citrix.blahblahblah.com
    icabrowsing=http
    Reconnect=no

    #Set a logo up in the login box

    #Automatically log out of the session
    AutoSignoff=yes Shutdown=no

    The way you have configured this, you are connecting to the PNAgent site, which is perfectly correct.
    The PNAgent site should do the load balancing for you. This is not a S10 feature.

    Is this working from a PC?

    Yes, the app launched from the web interface will load balance, but when the same app is launched via the terminal it doesn’t load balance, only going to the one server.

    Are you talking about the “Desktop” app, you have configured in your wnos.ini file? Then for sure there is no load balancing as it will not contact the webinterface to get the needed info.
    But all apps that are listed on the client after the login to the webinterface should be balanced.

    The same application is published to the desktop via the PN settings when creating the published desktop via the Citrix console. I checked that one and it does NOT load balance either. Again, it DOES load balance when launching from the web interface.

    I admit, it sounds more like an issue with Citrix. The published desktop application is new, I recreated it earlier this week. I’m just not familiar enough with Citrix to know where the issue may be and how to resolve it. At this point I haven’t ruled out it being an issue with the Wyse terminals also since it does run correctly via the web interface.

    The issue was on the Citrix side of things. The second server was not using the correct citrix datastore which caused the new application I created to not be created on the secondary server.
