    Morning all

I have a few sites which have s10s as the clients. I am getting reports that people’s sessions are freezing. I am not sure whether its the whole session or just the citrix server applications freezing.

The stats I get from our ISP look fine and the link is not being over utilised but I am not convinced.

Is there anyway to check from an S10 the amount of bandwidth it is using??

    Hi,

The best way is to use MRTG or download an eval of solarwinds and use this to trap the stats from your router.

“freezing” sessions are nearly always one of two things:

1/ Priority. If you have not traffic shaping then every time someone prints, uses a file or other traffic burst your users lock up. At a minimum use a policy map in your cisco routers (its free) to allow enough traffic for ICA. Problem is that network starts do not capture this short burst traffic.

2/ Application or process on the server maxes out the box. Check the stats on your server.

If its other latency related problems with the link these can be hard to track unless you are a network gun. Best bet it to spend a few dollars and pay a network guru to do some analysis,

    Cheers,
    -TT
