    Hello,

    We are currently running Wyse 3040 units on ThinOS 8.6 at staff residence and also in the office, both connected to a Microsoft RDS Windows Server 2016 backend as session servers.

    The multimedia playback, both audio and video from streaming websites like YouTube, Vimeo etc… is very laggy and I started reading that Dell had a suite called TCX to optimize multimedia playback on RDS to offload the playback on both the RDS server and also the Wyse unit.

    I have a few queries on this :-

    1) Will TCX help me get a better multimedia playback on RDS 2016 than it is at the moment?

    2) Is the Wyse 3040 unit TCX enabled or do I need to purchase TCX compliant Wyse units to make it work optimally?

    Please advise.

    Many thanks.

    Regards,

    Lsavripen

    TCX is End of Life for some time already.
    It would not be of any help anymore.

    Thanks for confirming CG, what would be the route to take to optimize the RDS multimedia playback from the Wyse units?

    You can play with these settings (no/yes)

    SessionConfig=RDP EnableGFX=yes EnableTSMM=no EnableRdpH264=yes EnableRFX=no EnableUDP=no
