So I am relatively new to Wyse and how they work. I worked with HPDM mostly. However i find myself in need to upgrade some clients and then possibly move them into WMS. Currently they are in a WMD 4.9.1 (WG) and I need to update the OS to even TRY to move them to WMS. I have found that I cannot do this without the software installers offered by Dell. However due to them sunsetting Wyse they are not available. I also find that the OSes are not available. I understand this site has a downloads section. I see the R10_wnos downloads. I assume those are the WTOS OSes i see in the WDM console. However they do not seem to be in a format i can upload to do an upgrade nor do i see any instructions on how to use them.

I then need to figure out how to move them to the WMS environment likely using the INI files but one step at a time here.

Firmware updates can be done through a simple ftp server. Typically, as you are using WDM, you already have that in place. Just download the latest firmware from this website and copy the file next to your wnos.ini.
    Done.
Just make sure you follow the update path outlined here https://technicalhelp.de/topic/how-to-upgrade-thinos-correctly/

I have the wnos files i have the usb tool….however HOW do i use these two together? This isnt clear. The USB tool wants RSP files…the WNOS file is just a file no extension. I cant get anything to work here.

If you want to use the USB tool instead of a ftp server, then you would need the so called Merlin image instead of the Raw image.
