Hi,
I have a number of 5010 (D10D) which are not eligible to ThinOS 9.
My last purchase of those was 2017 which is not that old.
Dual-core 1.4Ghz, 1,3 GB de RAM et 7,8GB SSD ; We could almost run a full Windows 10 in there.
Am I alone to think that there is some planned / forced obsolescence here ?
It may look that way.
However, the 5010 went EOL beginning of 2019. That means 2 years later (31.07.2021) it is going EoFS (End of Feature Support). Until that time you can get ThinOS 8.6 updates.
And, of course, you can easily use 5010 with ThinOS 8.6 way longer if you like.
Although I really loved to see ThinOS 9 on older devices (and a lot of other customers also requested that), this is how it is.
