Hello,
I am wanting to find a list of supported models for the PC extender. Dell/Wyse are not providing one when I call tech support so I thought I would post my test results. Before I do, is anyone wawre of a list of supported models. I am personally interested in the Dell Optiplex models.
Aaran
Here is the status of the models I have tested:
Dell Optiplex 745 = Fail (unable to mount ntfs-3)
Dell Optiplex 755 = Fail (unable to mount ntfs-3)
Dell Optiplex 760 = Pass
Dell Optiplex 780 = Pass
Dell Optiplex 790 = Fail (no network card detected)
Which PCE version did you use?
CG
The exe i run is called PCX_PC_Extender_11.1.058,01_Prod.exe
I have since re-installed the 755 with a Dell supplied OEM copy of XP with SP3. This has allowed the PC Extender to install.
Wyse support have provided a dev version via FTP for me to test and also asked me to check the SATA operation modes on the boxes.
Will update this thread when I know more.
