    Hi all,

I am planning to replace some part of my old Wyse client estate to Wyse 3040s.

Before we actually purchase these clients I wanted to check if you aware of any new Wyse client model coming out this year which would be a successor and direct replacement for 3040?

I appreciate such information may not be publicly available..

    Thank you

    Any plans for Microsoft Teams?

The 3040 isn’t slated to be refreshed for a year or more but that might change.

It is looking like 3040’s might be having issues coming up with video offload-performance. I wouldn’t be surprised if the 3040’s were refreshed with either a new model with better CPU, or same model but higher spec’d CPU’s that can handle Teams offloading.

Are you saying that MS Teams is not working correctly on 3040s with ThinOS 9.0.2108 ?

I am asking as this is what I found in 9.0.2108 Release Notes:

    Fixes & Enhancements
    New and enhanced features:
    – Supports Microsoft Teams optimization with audio, video, and screen sharing features on Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Citrix Workspace App.

    Regards,

From the release notes for 2108:

    Limitations
Only audio call is supported on the Wyse 3040 Thin Client. Video call results in performance issues.Workaround—Turn off the incoming video.

I hope they (Citrix) just rushed this out (well.. we know they did) and optimizations will come out to improve things.
