    Good Morning All,

I am having issues with getting a webcam to connect, as well as the microphone portion of my iPhone ear buds. The camera is a Logitech brand webcam, with a simple USB connection. And the headphones are not wireless, but wired with the inline mic. If there are any settings that I need to enable in the ConfGen program to allow the microphone from the earbuds and the webcam, please let me know as it is driving me crazy that I’m not able to get it working. Thanks for any help that comes along! I always appreciate how helpful this forum is.

    Thanks all!

    -Robert

What backend are you connecting to?
    What firmware version?

I’m not sure what you mean by backend, I apologize. However, if it helps, I am connecting using Microsoft RDP. I can go into the peripheral settings on the Wyse device itself, and the camera comes up, and the microphone works for recording, but they are not forwarding to the RDP session. The firmware that I am on is 8.6_013. Thanks!

Hey there, is there any way to edit posts? I accidentally included the admin password and I need to take that out of there.

Thank you for removing the password. I’m not sure why the RDP didn’t copy over, but it is below.

Okay, the microphone is working now, so that was a great help. However, the external USB webcam is still not forwarding. Any thoughts as to what may help to get that working?

Try to use USB redirection for the webcam with ForceRedirect command.

Per the instructions, I was able to find the parameters for the setting. However, it is still not working. Is there anything that I am missing from the redirection in order for it to work?

Also, there are two VUSB devices listed, as shown in the attached image. I tried both in the ForceRedirection settings, but neither worked. I decided to go with the second option, because when I connect the webcam to a laptop that I have there, the parameters matched that line. webcam parameters

Maybe not related but just for general info, the Logitech C920e comes shipped with the microphone locked by software.  The webcam works fine.  The built in mic will not work OOB with ThinOS 9 unless it is first plugged into a Windows device and unlocked by the software download.  After the mic is unlocked on a Windows device it can be used without issue in ThinOS 9. I’ve also worked with Poly Studio P5 webcam and its the opposite, the built in mic works and the webcam does not; Poly Studio is working with Dell to add their drivers to ThinOS 9 build.

What is the make/model of the USB webcam?
