    Hi,

After doing a test upgrade on a couple of our 3040 PCoIP clients to 9.1 I have identified multiple issues. Wanted to hear if anyone here has had any of them and maybe has  a solution.

    1. Fast Disconnect no longer works.
I’ve tried F12, F11 and Pause/Break both with and without Ctrl key. None work. Locking the station with Win + L does however work.

    2. Screens wake up with wrong resolution and lines or garbled graphics.

From time to time when I wake up the client the screen resolution on one or both screens is wrong and there are lines running from top to bottom in multiple colors. Sometimes the entire screen have a pattern of dots of multiple colors like on the picture. A reboot solves the issue.

    3. The mouse pointer does not change to the correct one on resize columns or text input boxes.

    4. Keyboard. Backslash “\” does not work when using the AltGr key. Works if I use Ctrl + Alt. Keyboard layout seems correct otherwise and is set to swedish.

Has anyone seen any of these “bugs” before. We have had several issues with earlier versions but these are all new to me.

    Hi Nian

I have the same issue with our 5070 PCoIP thin clients with spanish layout.

I have a support request open and now the case is scaled to engineering.

As alternative, Dell says me use BLAST protocol to resolve this issue in the meantime.

This issue is new for me too. Spanish characters like ñ, Ñ, ç, Ç works fine, but any combination character that needs AltGr key, doesn’t works.

We trust that they will find a solution as soon as possible.

    Regards,

I also have issues with resolution settings beeing ignored on my 3040 units with 9.1. Fast disconnect does not work either. AltGr-key seams to be working for me, with my swedish keyboard settings. Are you referring to the keyboard in ThinOS or in your remote desktop?

    Hi Peter

In ThinOS AltGr works great. We can write @ from our spanish keyboards for example with no issues. But when we connect to the VDI desktop over PCoIP protocol, AltGr doesn’t works.

I had the problem that the VDI desktop changed the keyboard to another language, so I set the terminal server to ignore remote keyboard layout by creating a GPO to change the registry key according to this link. I don’t know if that is why AltGr works with my Swedish keyboard layout in my VDI desktop also.

I am running Instant clones in Horizon, so no RDP. Keyboard setup looks to be correct in the desktop.

After upgrading to 21.01 the monitor/graphics issue is still there, so is the issue with the wrong pointer being shown in some applications (Office for example) and sometimes not being aligned between the thin client and the virtual desktop.

At least the quick disconnect and backslash key works now.

    Still not usable in production.
