Is it possible to boot from USB in wyse winterm 1125SE

    hi, i just read how to boot from usb in V6. I just wonder, is it possible to do that on 1125SE ?

    Is it powerful enough to boot a linux or xp directly from USB?
    i don’t want to waste it. We no longer used it due to the new consult team take it down with the whole new equipment (very costly). I’m not quite happy about that but it is an internal issue.

    My boss said i could do whatever to make it useful. What i think is i want to make it becomes standalone desktop without the server. Because we do have some software that is not online and it is small piece of software that run on DOS.

    i try to make a boot usb, which perfectly run on normal x86 box, with a fail. I even try an external CD-ROM drive with a windowsPE on it but nothing happen.

    So i do google and found this place. I saw USB boot on V.6 series. USB boot sound great. Is it possible to do that on this 1125SE?

    Please help me. I’m really stuck.

    Hi Jeng,

    due to the very limited BIOS of the 1125 this is not possible.

    So i can’t make any use of it without a server? That quites a sad thing.

    Thank you for your help CG. Hope one day someone will hack this box and make it run.
