Hi, I have the same problem like in topic with a theme: Installation error WDM 4.7.1
When I try to establish WDM on w2k3 I’ve got an error:
Unable to add Rapport user to FTP. Exiting Install.I did all required what is described in install guide and read both topics on this forum about this problem but I can not install WDM on three domain servers. All servers are not domain controllers.
I also can not install WDM on Windows XP, the same problem is here.Please help.
This looks to me like a policy issue. Do you have a GPO in place that prevents creation of local users?

I thought about it.
No, we have no policy that prevent local administratora to create local users. Besides I checked this by creating new user account manually, all is well.But we have a policy that requires a strong password like: P@ssw0rd
But when I try to install WDM I use custom install with specifiing of the strong password.What about creating a local account manually and use this acconut in the install as the FTP user?
