Hi,
I am trying to image a V90 with a USB key.
I followed all instructions on this website.
1. I have copied all wyse imaging files on the USB key
2. Copied the actual image file – 9V90.i2d on the USB key. When I try to boot from USB, the menu comes up, then I select option ‘A’ as the device is a V90.
I then get a red screen which runs through some scripts and then gets an error message “Cannot find Archive for Transfer…..Aborting” – and returns to the first menu screen. I have tried 2 different USB Keys.
Can anyone help please?
Thanks.
June 22, 2008 at 9:49 pm #13302Hi,
Did you put the 9V90.i2d in the V90 folder on the USB key? Also make sure it is a V90 not a V90L – the V90 has a VGA connector for the video out.
Cheers,
-TTJune 23, 2008 at 8:19 am #13304Hi,
Yes, I have made sure the image is in the V90 folder and it is definately a V90 model.
I did see a post from ‘Mikev’ who had the same problem and fixed it but he didnt post a solution 🙁
June 24, 2008 at 1:58 am #13314Hmm, the message indicates that the file is not where it expected it to be – which is in C:V90
Boot from the key and hit ESC to go to the command prompt, is should say C: – is this the case?
After this you can manually run the V90.bat file or edit it to see the contents of where it is looking for the file 9V90.i2d,
Cheers,

June 27, 2008 at 12:47 pm #13378Hi,
Can anybody help with my problem above? The machine belongs to a client which needs to be re-imaged as soon as possible.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
June 27, 2008 at 12:53 pm #13381Using Wyse Simple Imager would be an alternativ.
Download it from wyse.com along with some PDF which describes how to setup.CG
June 27, 2008 at 1:06 pm #13383Does that method require a network as if so i dont have the means to do do which is why I’m using the USB imaging tool.
June 27, 2008 at 1:21 pm #13384You can install WSI on eg a laptop and connect that to your V90 directly via cross-over or a small hub.

June 27, 2008 at 2:51 pm #13386I will try this method.
Thanks for your help 😀
June 28, 2008 at 7:09 pm #13392Good call, I am not sure why the imager is not finding the image. As ConfGen suggests try WSI as Plan-B.
Sorry!
-TTJuly 2, 2008 at 7:29 pm #13419Okay, so I know our timezones are different TT, but there’s no way it’s Jan 26, 2006 in Australia, lol, what’s the deal with that?

July 9, 2008 at 4:24 pm #13481We are having the same problem this guy was. What we’re trying (and I’ll post later if this is the answer for us) is downloading a different firmware. There are several different links on the download page, and we think that perhaps ours isn’t supported by the most recent firmware, so we’re trying the 256 download and seeing if that works, perhaps this is the same solution for you selection?
