    Hey all,

Long Time IT guy here, but relatively new to Thin Client infrastructure with WMS. I’ve deployed about 35 Dell 3040’s over the past year, and things have gone better than anticipated.

This past weekend they started to popping up this message box, since it occurs so early in the boot sequence I have no option to shadow the devices to cancel it and allow the devices to fully boot, which means a trip up the ladder for each one.

Does anyone know where I can find the setting to disable it? It looks to me like it’s trying to log into an ftp to pull configuration info, but I can’t find the setting related to this particular issue.

Thanks for the help, I’ve attached the picture below.

    Firmware Version: 8.6_013

Looks like the clients try to contact a fileserver.
Do you have defined a fileserver?
Have you enabled the Advanced policy and enabled the one and only checkbox there?

I appreciate the response – I do have the setting ‘No Global Ini’ checked. I had put in a custom parameter to pass in the bios password, which I likely no longer need. Would unchecking that box likely fix the issue? I’ll have to wait to make the change until our production floor goes home for the day.  I wasn’t sure exactly how that property worked as I was reading through the documentation. Thanks again for the help.

    No, leave the box checked.
Could you post your full config (WMS.ini)?
