    Hello,

How would I go about setting a static IP address for a thin client?

    IP: 192.168.0.2

    Subnet: 255.255.255.0

    Gateway: 192.168.0.1

Currently I turn the thin client on out of the box, scan the network for my SSID and type in the passkey. The thin client then is assigned an address via DHCP. I still want the thin client to connect to that same SSID, but want to be able to manually assign the IP address.

Just assign it via System Setup – Network.
ThinOS uses the same dialog for ethernet and wireless IP settings.

Where exactly? if I go to System Setup > Network Setup I see an ENET tab…I can click Properties in the Dynamic Address section and input static information. If I click on the WLAN tab I just see information about the Wi-Fi SSID there is no place to input information.

As I said. ThinOS uses the same dialog for ENET and Wireless.
If you have entered a fixed IP in ENET this will also used for wireless.

Gotcha…When I set an IP address there and do a restart I can ping the IP, but it starts to say that WDA/CCM failed and it’ll try again in 24 hours? It seems like the static IP is addressed but CCM still thinks it’s using the old address.

Would you recommend starting from factory default or is this something I should be able to change on the fly only needing a restart?

Are you using WDM/CCM at all?
