Hi,
we have 40 Wyse 5070 with Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC devices configured with VMware Horizon 7.12 VDI, Wyse Management Suite and Wyse Easy Setup with WES Policy (Kiosk mode enabled with Easy Setup Desktop, one Application: Horizon View and autolaunch enabled).
When user logon everyting works fine – Easy Setup launch Easy Setup Desktop, opens application and login to VDI. When user leaves computer for a while Horizon disconnects with message: “the connection to the remote computer ended”. When we put Wyse device to Unmanaged group in Wyse Management Suite, removed WES Policy and back to Windows Desktop problem with disconnect doesn’t exist – user can manually launch Horizon and click on VDI and work hours without disconnection.
We have:
Wyse agent: 14.4.6.5
VMware horizon client: 5.4.0.10892
Wyse Easy Setup: 2.0
Could You help me to resolve our problem?
Thank You.
December 8, 2020 at 1:58 pm #53742To make it clear. Does the disconnect only happen when you have assigned the WES policy?
When working only with a local Windows configuration everything works?CG
December 8, 2020 at 6:36 pm #53745Correct. Disconnect only happen when I assigned the WES Policy, when I log in to (WES policy removed) Windows Desktop, open VMware Horizon Client and open VDI everything is fine. User can work without disconnection.
December 9, 2020 at 5:17 pm #53766Could you then post screenshots of your WES policy?

December 9, 2020 at 6:49 pm #53770Sure. Link to screenshot located in my OneDrive
At Kiosk mode – Applications section I have:
Application location: C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Horizon View Client\vmware-view.exe
Application arguments: -serverURL horizon.mycompany.com -singleAutoConnect -desktopProtocol Blast -connectUSBOnStartup true -desktopLayout fullscreen -logInAsCurrentUser true
December 10, 2020 at 7:19 pm #53801I partially resolved my issue. I’ve added domain user to local Power Users group over GPO. And everything works fine. VDI don’t disconnect, user work without interruption.
So question: what Powers user have what User don’t 😉
December 21, 2020 at 12:19 pm #53887More Power.
😉No idea why this fixes your issues.

And it was temporary. Still disconnected, so I decided to configure Application mode instead of Easy Wyse Setup and it works now.
