    Hello,

my 5010 (D10DP) devices are taking longer to boot up, after checking the event log I see about 30 second trying to validate file server which it fails!

BTW, I’m using WMS and 8.6 FW version.

any idea what could be the issue?

Open your policy and go tongue Advanced category.
Make sure the one and only checkbox is checked.
    Reboot twice.

I had a similiar problem with the validation of the file server.

We used to have WDM until we upgraded to WMS.

Since we use WMS we are no longer using WDM file server settings.

Unfortunately the DHCP Option Tag still relayed tag 161 with information about a file server.

Thats were the clients tried to get the information and couldnt find the patch because it didn’t exist anymore.

Therefor I removed the option tag from dhcp and restarted the wyse client to factory settings.

    Problem was gone.

Thank you, I figured it out, once I powered on the server back the TC is booting up much faster. I will have to remove the option tag you mentioned from DHCP.

    much appreciated 🙂

    Old thread, same problem.
Is there another way to clear/disable the file server on ThinOS? I’m not looking forward to reset 1000+ devices to factory defaults…

Have you tried to use a blank value with OT 161?
